Last summer, Manchester City gave the green light to the sale of an important player in the team, but who was not yet the star. However, he was too young to demand such a role. Now, the footballer is beginning to shine in another Serie A team and with this, the club is beginning to regret selling him.

Although Cole Palmer was having a certain role at Manchester City in recent seasons, Pep Guardiola decided to give his 'ok' to the player's departure last summer and ended up signing for Chelsea. The citizens seemed not to trust this player's football and in a few games with the Stamford Bridge team he has proven to be one of the emerging stars of the Premier League, one of the biggest surprises of the competition.

Chelsea, despite having invested astronomical amounts in its squad in recent years, is a clear example that money does not guarantee success in the beautiful game. Names like Raheem Sterling, Marc Cucurella or Mykhaylo Mudryk, who arrived with great expectations, have not yet managed to shine with their own light at the London club.

He was criticized at Stamford Bridge, but now he is the star

Chelsea, under the direction of Mauricio Pochettino, are experiencing gradual improvement, and much of this is due to the performance of Cole Palmer, a young English talent who is only 21 years old. The investment of 47 million euros to acquire Palmer from Manchester City was initially questioned. He had had minutes in the previous season under the command of Pep Guardiola, but had not yet proven to be an undisputed starter.
