Harry Maguire, Manchester United and England defender, reported on his social networks that the Red Devils' manager, Erik Ten Hag, has withdrawn the captaincy of the team. The player has not performed at his best, but has always shown great professionalism.

The defender took the United captain's badge almost four years ago, however, his imminent departure from the team has forced Ten Hag to withdraw the armband. Faced with this, Maguire expressed his disappointment on his social networks and thanked the fans for their support during this period.

"Following discussions with the manager today, he has informed me that he will be changing captain. He explained his reasons to me and although I am personally extremely disappointed, I will continue to give my all every time I wear the shirt. So I wanted to thank the Manchester United fans for all their brilliant support while wearing the armband," Harry wrote on his social media. The center-back also noted that being captain of Manchester United has been one of the best moments of his career and he is proud of that.
