Manchester United is not having the best start to the season. The team fell in the first games, and despite a period of good results, they recently lost in the Manchester Derby 3-0 at home and were also eliminated at the hands of Newcastle from the Carabao Cup, by the same score, also in home. This is unacceptable for a team of Manchester United's magnitude, and doubts are beginning to arise about Ten Hag. However, the reason why the coach cannot be fired is revealed.

The team is not playing well and the players begin to clash with each other, as well as certain conflicts in the coach's decisions. Things are starting to get out of control for the Dutch coach. However, some club legends such as Neville and Keane suggest that he needs more time. According to information from the Daily Mail, the Red Devil locker room already doubts the abilities of the Dutch coach, whose heavy hand has led to constant clashes between the coaching staff and the footballers.

With a contract until June 2025, Ten Hag's departure also represents a financial problem for United. And, as the Daily Mirror points out, the former Ajax player should receive up to €17 million in compensation, a very high figure. Chaos continues to reign in the red part of Manchester, with United losing, little by little, its relevance in both England and Europe.

Manchester United's worst record in years

The worst start for the 'red devils' in 61 years - they have lost eight of the 15 games they have played - has put Erik ten Hag between a rock and a hard place. It seems that only his high settlement (17 million euros) keeps the former Ajax coach 'alive' on the Old Trafford bench. Not only that. United, for the first time since 1930-31, have lost five of their first 10 home games.
