Chelsea spent $2B during this season, check how much United is planning to spend in one single player

Manchester United want to show why they are an important team and they want to get an important win in their next game against Everton. Without a doubt, things have not been the best for Man Utd. One of the things that has stood out about the team during this season is the amount of money that was spent and the few results that have been obtained.

With that said, things are expected to improve but in a slow way. It is worth mentioning that according to national and international media, the arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe was a fact. However, it seems that the arrival has been delayed and that it would have to wait at least until the beginning of 2024. In addition, one of the things that stands out about this decision is that the CEO of INEOS will be exclusively in charge of the sports part.

Furthermore, this could represent some changes in the team, such as the arrival of players. On the other hand, United have not been known in recent seasons for signing players who excel on the pitch. With that and their status as global stars, few players perform satisfactorily in the team and Erik ten Hag doesn't seem to see that at the moment

One of the constant criticisms that has been made is the amount that some teams spend. For example, Chelsea spent approximately $2B in this summer transfer market and are not necessarily doing well in the Premier League. Now the Red Devils want to spend considerable money for this player

According to national and international media such as Sports Witness, Joao Neves is a subject of interest to Man Utd. Given this, the Carrington club would be willing to pay his release clause of $120M. At the moment,  nothing has been confirmed yet
