Manchester United and Manchester City meet in an important match in which both seek to place themselves in an important way. The clubs are positioned as favorites to fight for the title this season, but Pep Guardiola's team is certainly much more of a candidate than Ten Hag and company. This is due to what the club has done in recent years in the English league. Before the duel, one of City's stars spoke about many things, among them, Rashford's level.

Kyle Walker spoke about the club's goals in a conversation with Andy Hampson. “We want to win because of what it means and ultimately it'll help us in trying to win the Premier League again. We don't need to think beyond that. We've had some great games against them in recent years. Our focus is giving the fans something to enjoy..."

"Marcus [Rashford] has shown over the years he's the sort of player who can create problems for either side if they don't match him. He's been important for both United and England since he was a teenager because of the threat he offers to any team he's in..." Furthermore, he clarified that he has qualities that make him a unique footballer in many ways. "He's got a lot of different qualities and we know he can be dangerous at the weekend..."

What else did Kyle Walker say?

"Last season is done, we lost at Old Trafford and went on to win the treble. Ultimately that's what matters. This game means a lot but it's part of a bigger picture. We lost last season, luck didn't go in our favor , but we bounced back and did what we did. People keep saying how hard it must be to get motivated because of what we achieved last season but we're all competitors who want to win. We've shown year after year. If it “It was hard to get motivated we wouldn't have won three Premier League in a row,” shared Kyle Walker prior to the match between Manchester United and Manchester City.
