Manchester City and Liverpool FC played one of the most anticipated matches of the day. The two clubs that have had the best results in the Premier League in recent years met in a match that promised many emotions. In the end, the match ended with a score of 2-1 in favor of the locals. However, Manchester City and company achieved an important record.

Manchester City and Liverpool tied 1-1 in a match marked by tension and intensity, which was reflected in a small incident between Darwin Núñez and Pep Guardiola in the final minutes. The Uruguayan forward was substituted in the final stretch of the match and Guardiola approached him to say something, however, Núñez did not respond as expected and immediately began to reproach him for something.

The Liverpool player had to be led away by Klopp while he continued saying things and making gestures against the Citizen coach, who was trying to ask for an explanation for his reaction. The discussion did not escalate and the match continued normally, resulting in a tie that gave one point to each team. Furthermore, Pep Guardiola assured Sky Sports that "nothing happened" and it was just an exchange of words about the match.

For Guardiola, the only real thing is that no one demanded it as much as Klopp: "this rivalry with Liverpool is the greatest of my career," he admitted. "When you achieve 100 points or 98 points (in a season), you need someone to push you. I think it makes us better, and their team is very competitive, they are one of the best in the world," confessed Pep Guardiola.
