The summer 2023 transfer market has been extremely different from the previous ones. Now, the great European teams have found an unexpected rival in terms of the signings and sales of their elements. The Saudi Pro League is a real threat for clubs in Europe and this season they have gone from taking players like Neves, Koulibaly, to signing the current Ballon d'Or player like Karim Benzema.

Faced with this situation, a club that has dealt with the departure of two important elements has been precisely Liverpool FC. Jordan Henderson and Fabinho left a few days ago for this new adventure in Arabia and now the club must urgently go to the transfer market and look for two reinforcements that can replace these pieces.

This situation is not alien to coach Jurgen Klopp, who did not hesitate to comment on it prior to the Liverpool FC vs. Bayern Munich game. Saudi Arabia has set out to change the football landscape overnight. They have given a twist to a market totally dominated by the Premier League in recent years and now they are the protagonists.

What did Klopp say about it?

The red coach was clear: "One of the worst things, if I'm not mistaken, is that the Saudi Arabian market lasts three more weeks. UEFA or FIFA have to remedy this," he said. At the moment, the club does not believe that it should deal with more sales towards said league, but names like Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk have been contacted during the summer, with a negative response from the players.
