After a season of ups and downs in Saudi Arabia, Cristiano Ronaldo received the worst news of all after Al Nassr finished second in the Saudi Pro League, resulting in the Portuguese player ending his first adventure in Arabian lands without a single title. A situation that disappoints many of the player's fans.

Cristiano Ronaldo arrived from Manchester United to Saudi Arabia in the winter transfer window. The player signed the most important contract in history where he is worth 200 million dollars a year. An amount that no other soccer player receives, and even no athlete of any specialty is capable of receiving. In that sense, the player did leave a bad taste in his mouth, despite scoring several goals during the season.

Al Nassr equalized with Al-Ettifaq in a match that ended 1-1 where Luiz Gustavo scored for Cristiano Ronaldo's team. In this way, Al Ittihad is crowned as the absolute monarch of Arab soccer this season. Over Al Nassr, which did not meet the expectations. Therefore, Ronaldo's future could take a turn after the result.

Will Cristiano Ronaldo return to the Premier League?

The 38-year-old Portuguese footballer intends to respect his contract agreed with the Arabian side and which is valid until the summer of 2025. For the time being, the club will evaluate the player's season, but everything indicates that the paths of Al Nassr and Cristiano Ronaldo will remain together, at least, for the next season. However, it does not take away Ronaldo's displeasure at not being able to achieve his goal. In 15 games, Cristiano Ronaldo scored a total of 12 goals and distributed 2 assists. However, his club's start to the season was not the best and despite the player's arrival in Arabia, the club fell just short of the title.
