Manchester United faced Newcastle with the intention of reversing the situation they have had in the most recent games such as in the Champions League, where they tied with Galatasaray after going 2-0 up. However, in this match the team fell again and both fans and legends of the club are already exploding about it and pointing to one of those responsible and curiously it is not Ten Hag.

Decimated by injuries and with the bitterness left by a controversial VAR decision in midweek, Newcastle did not approach the home game against Manchester United in ideal conditions, repeating the starting eleven for the third time in a row. But Eddie Howe's team didn't flinch. The unappealable 1-0 victory on Saturday at St. James' Park confirmed the tenacity of a team pushed to the limit.

Anthony Gordon's goal in the 55th minute was enough for a Newcastle that had been beaten by the victory against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League that escaped in agony when a very controversial handball was whistled. “It's been a very strong week for us,” Gordon said. “The same 11 of us have played three games in a row (they beat Chelsea last weekend) and we have come out ahead.”

Paul Scholes did not flinch and began to say important things regarding the rest. "Rubbish. They're a poor football team right now, aren't they? Those recent results are misleading. Lots of lazy players in the team." United, who had won five of their previous six games, fell to sixth place and barely managed to get one shot on target as they looked physically exhausted, three days after their 3-3 draw at Galatasaray in the Champions League.
