Getafe are in advanced talks to sign Tottenham left-back Sergio Reguilón. The Spanish defender, 25, whose contract with the North London club expires in June 2025, could be set for a return to La Liga.

Reguilón has struggled for regular first-team football at Tottenham since joining from Real Madrid in 2020. Despite showing glimpses of his talent, he has found it difficult to cement a place in the starting eleven under various managers. A loan spell at Sevilla last season was successful, but upon returning to Tottenham, he has once again found himself on the fringes of the squad.

Getafe, known for their defensive solidity and physical style of play, believe Reguilón could be the ideal fit for their team. The Spanish club is looking to strengthen their left-back position and sees Reguilón as an experienced and talented player who can bring quality to their squad.

A move to Getafe would allow Reguilón to return to his home country and play regular first-team football. The Spanish defender is eager to reignite his career and believes that a move to Getafe could be the perfect opportunity to do so.

Negotiations between Getafe and Tottenham are ongoing, and a deal could be struck in the coming weeks. However, there are still several obstacles to overcome, including agreeing on a transfer fee and personal terms with the player.
