Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has revealed that his primary focus this season is winning the Premier League title, rather than the Champions League. The Egyptian has been in sensational form, leading the league in both goals and assists, and his comments have sent shockwaves through the footballing world.

"Now I just feel that I want to win especially the Premier League more than the Champions League this year. It's the Premier League. Being a big part of the team winning, that's great," Salah stated emphatically.

The 32-year-old has been instrumental in Liverpool's impressive start to the 2024/25 Premier League season. With 17 goals and 13 assists, he has outperformed rivals such as Erling Haaland and Bukayo Saka. Liverpool, under the guidance of manager Arne Slot, currently sit atop the Premier League table with 45 points from 19 games.

Salah's comments come after Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva admitted that the Premier League title race is all but over. With Liverpool's strong form, they are now the favorites to lift the trophy, a feat they last achieved before Manchester City's dominance.

The Egyptian's declaration is a significant one, as Liverpool have been in the Champions League conversation for several years. However, Salah's desire to win the Premier League title is understandable, given the intense rivalry between Liverpool and Manchester City in recent seasons.

Salah's comments are likely to fuel speculation about his future at Liverpool. With his contract set to expire in 2025, the Egyptian's long-term future at Anfield remains uncertain. However, his recent statements suggest that he is fully committed to the club and is determined to help them achieve their goals.
