Javier Hernandez, better known as "Chicharito" came to LA Galaxy to be the successor of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and take the Los Angeles team to the top. None of that happened and Chicharito Hernandez was a failure and raised many doubts among LA Galaxy fans. Everyone calls him Chicharito, but will they know where that nickname comes from?

Since he left Chivas de Guadalajara, Javier Hernandez was a star in every team that goes. When he left Chivas de Guadalajara and arrived at Manchester United, Chicharito did it for a record number and there he began to become famous. Few know him as Javier Hernandez, a common name, but the vast majority do recognize him when they hear the word Chicharito Hernandez.

This nickname comes as a family heirloom and means "little pea". Javier Hernandez's father was known as “el Chicharo” (pea) because of his green eyes. Since he had green eyes they named him Chicharo and from there he got that nickname. Javier Hernandez inherited that nickname but since he was the son of Chicharo Hernandez they began to call him "Chicharito".

It's amazing how a nickname can change the career and make a soccer player more famous. Chicharito Hernandez, beyond his great soccer level, has a great nickname that makes him be recognized throughout the world. Javier Hernandez will now have the difficult task of taking the LA Galaxy to the top.

Chichariton Hernandez's family heritage linked to soccer:

Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez is not the only one in his family who became a professional soccer player since his father and grandfather did too. Incredibly, both his father and grandfather were professional players for Chivas de Guadalajara and for the Mexican national team. Javier Hernandez's grandfather, like Chicharito, had the opportunity to play a FIFA World Cup.
