Who is New LA Galaxy Player Yony Gonzalez?

In the last hours, Guillermo Barros Schelotto confirmed that Yony Gozalez could debut this weekend when the LA Galaxy faces SJ Earthquakes. The Colombian striker arrives on loan from the Portugues team Benfica c after his stint in Brazilian soccer, where he played for Corinthians.

The 26-year-old Colombian forward had a great career not only in his country but also abroad. He belongs to Benfica of Portugal and as it was not going to be taken into account for this season they decided to give it to LA Galaxy in a loan. In his entire career he has scored 44 goals, most of them in Junior de Barranquilla.

Barros Schelotto and LA Galaxy are very happy with his arrival because they believe that he can boost the team's attack. Together with Pavon and Chicharito Hernandez they can manage to reverse the negative streak that the team has been running without winning. Luckily for the Coach, he is already qualified to debut with LA Galaxy.

The player  feels that he is in the best moment of his career and that this opportunity to be able to play for the LA Galaxy can help him to be part of Colombia National team again and as a consequence to be seen by teams in Europe. It only remains to wait and see if the forward can quickly adapt to MLS football.
