Weston McKennie made his Juventus debut with a record that no one had previously been able to achieve: being the first American player to play at least one minute for the most winning team in all of Italy. With just a handful of friendlies on the team, Andrea Pirlo decided to start him in his first game in charge of the team.

At just 22 years old, Weston McKennie begins to position himself as one of the most promising midfielders on the US national team. For this match the American will share midfield with the experienced Adrien Rabiot and the Welshman Aaron Ramsey. He also left players like Rodrigo Bentancur and the new reinforcement, Arthur, on the bench.

McKennie emerged from the Dallas FC academy and has played almost 100 games in the Schalke 04 jersey in the German Bundesliga. In addition, he has already played several meetings with the American team and is positioned as one of the players who will seek to take the United States to the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
