They called him the new Lionel Messi when he arrived to the MLS and now they say he is a failure
He was formed in FC Barcelona he arrived to MLS many years before and now he can transform into a free agent.
Lionel Messi has, with no doubt, mark the modern era of soccer. The Argentinian legend achieved every single trophy he could with FC Barcelona and gained everyone admiration. Through the years there have been many players who were supposed to be Messi’s successor but finally failed.
One of them was Bojan Krkic, the attacker that was formed in La Masía and make his debut with the first team at the age of 16. But after many years we can now say that he was not even near to Messi. Bojan played for eight teams during all his career and could now end as a free agent.
It was 2011 when Barcelona considered that the player had to leave. AS Roma signed him for $14 million and afterwards, he transformed into a globetrotter of soccer. He played for AC Milan, Ajax, Stoke City, Maguncia, Deportivo Alavés and finally arrived to the MLS side Montreal Impact.
But after more than a year at the club coached by Thierry Henry, Bojan has just scored seven goals on 30 games and his continuity is now in doubt. His contract ends on December 2020 and there is an option on renewing, even though the club will have the last word to decide.
