Morgan is garnering applauses for his performances in Major League Soccer, scoring five goals and assisting three times in 16 league appearances so far. Now with regular soccer missing in Glasgow, the 24-year-old is delighted with the way things are progressing.

In a statement, he said it took him a little time to adjust to American soccer as he didn't have many opportunities at Celtic. But now he is happy as his numbers have been good in the last two months and he has begun to add goals and assists to be able to help the team coached by the Uruguayan Diego Alonso.

Lewis Morgan said coming to MLS made him realize how much soccer time he had lost and how much he missed playing each week. Inter Miami helped him regain that moment and opened his eyes. Morgan appears to be playing with real confidence and the team still has a long shot of reaching the play-offs at the end of the pandemic season.

He never really seemed to have the required impact at Celtic, but it's great to know that he has found a club capable of offering him soccer from week to week. After his career stalled for a bit after his departure from St Mirren, he now has the opportunity to forge a stable long-term career in Miami or even in a larger club.

Lewis Morgan and Inter Miami will face Orlando City this afternoon for week 20 in search of a place in the playoffs. In the Eastern Conference Inter is twelfth with 18 points while Orlando City is fourth with 32 points. Inter Miami that will not be able to count on the presence of its maximum figure Gonzalo Higuain, since he was expelled in the match against Montreal Impact
