The real reason why Gonzalo Higuain came to MLS

The former Juventus player said he has always been curious about the MLS, and has long been interested in following the path of his brother in the United States. And after he saw that great forwards who shone in Europe had been heading to Major League Soccer not only to have fun playing but also to compete, he took the decision to join the MLS.

Gonzalo Higuaín affirmed that he came to MLS to be happy playing soccer again, because he thinks it is an interesting championship and a motivating change of scene. He said that he also likes that media pressure is more calm in the US than in Europe. He added that everything he wanted is been achieved in Inter Miami.

Regarding the team, he said that lately it has grown on their football level. Higuaín believes that he can bring to the table great experience. After stating how physically aggressive the MLS is, Higuaín declared that it is a beautiful league to spend the rest of his career and enjoy the game like he used to do when he was a child.

The former Real Madrid striker said he left Europe to free himself from media pressure from both the European media and the Argentinian media. He added that it was this the main reason which precluded him from enjoying his last years in football. He explained that when you are young your patience is longer but as the years go by the patience is shorter and it's not nice to play football that way.
