Carlos Vela is a top-talented player who is always on the radar of top teams from all over the world. On January 2018 the Mexican idol decided to leave Europe after 12 years and arrived to LAFC. On the MLS he showed once again his great talent and capacity, after a first season in which he was the MVP and the top-scorer.
During these two years many clubs tried to sign him. Chivas former side is always interested on his comeback, Real Sociedad was also willing to have him once again, and the same happened with other European clubs interested on counting with a forward with such conditions.
But, at the end, it seems to be that Vela will be staying until his last days at LAFC. The player is very comfortable at Los Angeles, city in which he lives with his wife Saioa Cañibano and his son aged 4, Romero. It is hard to think that, at the age of the little boy, Vela may be thinking in moving to another city.
Vela was formed in Chivas and left to Arsenal on January 2006 for $3 million. He then played at Celta de Vigo, UD Salamanca, CA Osasuna, West Bromwich, Real Sociedad and LAFC. At the MLS side he had 76 appearances, scoring 73 goals and giving 44 assists. He is also one of the best paid-players of the league, with a salary of $6.3 million.
