Carlos Vela has written an incredible new chapter in his life. After several months being injured, plus the absence due to his paternity, the Mexican attacker came back in El Trafico clash between LAFC and LA Galaxy and scored a goal after just 20 minutes in the field.
The attacker aged 31 is the protagonist of a strange phenomenon: as he gets older his value continues increasing. Specialized website Transfermarket reported that Vela's value increase from €12 million to €15 million during his time out of the field the lasts months.
Following that logic we must think that is Vela maintains the level he showed on his comeback against LA Galaxy, his value will keep increasing. Vela arrived to LAFC on January 2018, when his reported value was €10 million but the club paid just €5 million for him. Since then, he played 72 games, scoring 57 goals and giving 23 assists.
Vela are supposed to play the last games of the regular season, in which his team will be facing Houston Dynamo (October 28), San Jose Earthquakes (November 2) and Portland Timbers (November 8). If things keep this way, LAFC will end in the playoffs zone, as they earned 28 points after 19 games and stand 4th in the Western Conference.
