But, in the game of Los Angeles FC against LA Galaxy the Mexican attacker suffered an injury that sent him out the field, with no time of return.

Despite his absence and his inactivity, Vela has seen its value increase during the last months. Specialized website Transfermakt reported that the value of the international Mexican star raised to $17 million, the same one that he had some years ago when playing for Real Sociedad.

LAFC fans are waiting for Vela to get recover after the regular season. Since his arrival to Los Angeles, he played 72 games with a result of 57 goals and 23 assists. The American club bought him in January 2018 from Real Sociedad for a bit more than $5 million, when his reported value was higher than $10 million, also according to Transfermakt.

With these number, Vela is set to be the second most valuated player from the whole MLS, even above some top players from the league, such as Gonzalo Higuaín or Blaise Matuidi. Aged 31, Vela will come back as soon as possible to help his team chase this year trophy at MLS.
