After the problem between San Diego Loyals and Phoenix Rising where Landon Donovan, owner of San Diego Loyal, withdrew his team when the game had more than 30 minutes left for an attack on Collin Martin, the USL Championship disciplinary tribunal reported that the Penalty for June Flemming will be 6 games.

Although the referee of the match did not report or see the situation, the USL has carried out an investigation in which they subpoenaed more than 11 people, including Landon Donovan. After listening to all the versions they decided that Flemming verbally attacked Collin Martin in an intolerable way.

In addition to the six suspension games for Junior Flemming, they put a financial fine, they did not want to say the amount in their report, to the Phoenix Risings club. With this penalty, Fleming will miss the remainder of the season as his team had qualified for the USL playoffs. They do not rule out that Phoenix Rising also suspends the player.

Finally, as a result of this problem, the USL announced that from next year all teams should have training with the Institute for Sport and Social Justice so that players improve their behavior and these problems do not happen again. Donovan's great act of getting his team out achieved the impact he desired
