In recent months it has been seen that great players, especially in South American soccer, decided to go play in the MLS, leaving aside leagues such as Turkey, Arabia, China or even in some cases the Mexican. This is because the level of the MLS has grown remarkably in recent years thanks to the fact that high-level players go there.

A very resounding case was when Gonzalo “Pity” Martinez decided to go to play for Atlanta United when he was in a great sporting moment in River Plate and was wanted by some minor league clubs in Europe. This example shows how the perspective that the MLS was a lower quality league is changing.

It also helped a lot that players emerged from MLS such as Zach Steffen, Tyler Adams or Alphonso Davis are succeeding in Europe. Not only players were struck by this, but recruiters began to pay more attention to MLS. Today the league is under the radar of all the teams in the world as there are many rising stars playing there.

The future for MLS soccer is very promising and the league is becoming more and more powerful in the world of soccer. As we said, the players stopped thinking that it is a league to retire to think that it could be a great opportunity for the rest of their careers.
