Sergino Dest: will Barcelona sell him after his horrible miss in El Clasico?

Ajax produces a high amount of talent and exports a lot but recently many of their exports have turned out to be unsuccessful ones; Hakim Ziyech at Chelsea, Donny Van de Beek at Manchester United are grossly unsuccessful at their clubs. Frenkie De Jong at FC Barcelona and Matthijs De Ligt at Juventus are fairly successful.

USMNT defender Sergino Dest is one of the Ajax exports that has proven to be underwhelming and the Blaugrana consider him to be a sellable player who would be allowed to leave when the right offer comes, he only joined Barcelona in the summer of 2020.

He has played over 50 games for Barcelona and has just seven attacking returns, and while his responsibility is not to score goals, he has not been the best defender as well and has been a culprit for a few defensive decisions that have gone against the club.

Barcelona signed the American player for €26m from Ajax in 2020. He chose Barcelona despite also having offers from German champions Bayern Munich. He has a contract with Barcelona till 2025 and has a release clause of €400m.
