Raúl Jiménez was out of the field after a terrible clash of heads with David Luiz after only five minutes at the Emirates Stadium, on Matchday 10 of the Premier League.  Luiz was able to recover from the action and returned to the field with a bandage; however, the Mexican striker took the worst part and after being treated by the Wolves medical staff, he was removed on a stretcher and immediately transferred to a London hospital.

The central England institution asked fans and journalists to allow the striker to rest without discomfort. The truth is that the seriousness of the injury was less than expected: although he had to undergo surgery, the crash was very hard and his departure worried everyone. Fortunately, he recovered faster than expected.

Wolves also thanked the Arsenal medical team, nurses and surgeons for their quick response. They also invited to respect Jimenez's privacy before any update on the star striker's condition is announced.

Raúl Jiménez's injury was one of the most shocking events in soccer in 2020. Now, after receiving the medical clearance from Wolves' medical department to return to full fitness, the Mexican is preparing his comeback, where he will have to play with special equipment in order to ensure his full health.

What was Raul Jimenez's injury?

A skull fracture is one of the most complicated injuries for any soccer player. Unfortunately, Jiménez's case has not been the only one, being Petr Cech, Czech goalkeeper, one of the most famous recently.

How long will Raul Jimenez have to wear protection?

Just like the former Chelsea goalkeeper, RJ9 will have to wear protection, but in this case it won't be a helmet. Regarding Raul, the protection will serve to "reinforce the damaged bone area for the rest of his career," according to a statement from Wolverhampton.
