The most productive MLS scorer is not the Uruguayan Diego Rossi, from Los Angeles FC, or the American Gyasi Zardes, of Columbus Crew. It isn't Carlos Vela, neither although he produces many goals for LAFC. The three of them command the MLS right now, and are very young. The most productive scorer is a bit older.

We are speaking of San José Earthquakes' Chris Wondolowski. The 37 year-old forward is at the top of the standings in goals produced in the MLS. Producing a goal means that you scored or you assisted the player that scored. During the fifteen years that Wondolowski has been in the MLS, he has produced 206 goals.

Chris Wondolowski has scored 164 goals and delivered 42 goals. During his career, the forward has just played in Houston Dynamo and San José. He attended Chico State University and back in 2005 he was drafted by San José Earthquakes. In 2006 he was sent to expansion team Houston Dynamo, were he played 37 games in three seasons and scored 4 goals. In 2009 he returned to the Cali's team. In total, he has played 341 games for the Quakes, and scored 159 goals.

Behind Wondolowski comes Minnesota United's Kei Kamara, one of the top all-time scoring leaders of the MLS. During 395 MLS games, Kamara has produced 177 goals out of 130 strikes and 47 assists. In three place, completing the podium, stands the Argentinian Diego Valeri with 170 goals produced out of 83 goals scored and 87 assists delivered.
