MLS seems to be a place that more and more Mexicans are choosing to continue their careers as soccer players. Mexican players are of the utmost importance to their teams and in many cases receive the best salaries in the MLS. Lately the scorers table has always been led by Carlos Vela but it is no longer like that.
Chicharito Hernandez's present is very bad so he is not scoring goals. He has more than 10 games without converting and has already been transferred to the substitute bank. Vela had started the season well but after a knee injury he only scored 2 goals this MLS season. Vela's return is highly anticipated by LAFC as they need the scorer for the playoffs.
Surprisingly the best Mexican forward of the moment is Alan Pulido. Pulido's good performances in the MLS earned him Gerardo Martino calling him to the Mexican national team to play against the Netherlands and Algeria. The Mexican forward did not have many minutes of play but being with the national team again is great news for him.
Pulido has scored 4 goals at Sporting Kansas City and is one of the best-performing Mexican forwards since the MLS return. There are still several dates left for the rest of the forwards to improve their aim for the MLS playoffs.
