Chivas had a very bad start in the Guard1anes 2021, in which they won no games after four presentations. The team coached by Víctor Vucetich draw two matches and lost the two others, occupying the 16th position in Liga MX. After that, it has been rumored that sport adviser Ricardo Peláez is thinking on doing deep changes.

Almost at the same time, the statements made by two idols of Chivas paralyzed the club. Matías Almeyda talked with TUDN and said that it would be a dream to return one day to train the Mexican side. Nowadays, he is the manager of San José Earthquakes MLS side.

Another return that could also be made soon is the one of Chicharito Hernández, as Peláez himself recognized that he talked with the player and there are possibilities to sign him in the near future. Currently, he will play the season with Los Angeles Galaxy, but moving back to Chivas is not something he discards.

Almeyda and Chicharito both left a great image at Chivas. The trainer stayed during 147 games at the club, in which he won five titles. CH14 was formed at the Liga MX side and left in 2010, when he was very young and Manchester United paid $8 million for him. Since then, he has been playing at Europe, until his move to the MLS on January 2020.
