Mason Greenwood explains why Messi is better than Ronaldo

Manchester United star Mason Greenwood has had his say on the eternal argument on who is better between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. According to the England international, Ronaldo is a great player but he rates Messi over him.

The Argentine magician has won 10 La Liga titles with Barcelona and recently won the Copa America with Argentina while the Portuguese captain has won league titles in England, Spain and Italy along with the Euro 2016 cup with Portugal.

However, Mason Greenwood believes that Messi edges Ronaldo for the following reasons: “For me, it’s always got to be Messi. For me, he’s just on another planet. Ronaldo is obviously amazing, a physical, great athletic footballer. But to do what Messi does at his size, what he’s done for Barcelona and winning that trophy for Argentina, he is just on another level.”

Messi has scored 672 goals in 778 goals for Barcelona while Ronaldo has scored 674 goals in 896 matches across all club competitions.
