The global pandemic has shown that Major League Soccer needs to make several changes with their rules. The league doesn’t stop growing and different soccer players along the world started to see that joining the US most prestigious league could be a good place to show themselves. In this way, DP’s rule is willing to be modified and Inter Miami CF would be benefit.

The intention is to add three additional spots for 22-years-old or younger players. This could make the league more competitive after adquiring youth promises along the world, but also it would push franchises to use their three DP’s in experienced and talented players that could make a hierarchy jump to the league.

Blaise Matuidi and Gonzalo Higuain would give David Beckham’s franchise that difference they are needing in their team. But also, with this rule, they could leave Matias Pellegrini’s spot empty for another Distinguished Player to reinforce the squad.
