América CF is trying to strengthen their squad as much as they can, and they want to do everything they can to achieve so. Coach Santiago Solari has been looking at some options to reinforce the attack and the midfield, particularly in the middle of Nicolás Castillo’s controversial situation.

The Argentinian coach has posed his eyes over a famous name in Mexican soccer: Jonathan Dos Santos. But to bring him to the Azteca stadium, América has a negotiation to sort out with Los Angeles Galaxy.

The Californian team is looking for some options too, after the departure of Cristian Pavón back to Boca Juniors after his loan, there is a Designated Player spot available. That could be for former Italy’s international Sebastian Giovinco. Meanwhile, his arrival might lead to Dos Santos’ exit… to América?

As per numbers, it’s known that Jonathan Dos Santos’ transfer could cost $1.2 million, and his current salary in Los Angeles Galaxy is estimated in $2.2 million per year, right under the cap. Can this be affordable for América?
