Jens-Lys Michel Cajuste, 21, was born on August 10, 1999 in Sweden. Cajuste is the son of a Haitian-American father and a Swedish mother, and despite having already played for the Swedish youth national team, he has not yet been called up for the senior national team, which leaves hope for the United States.

As his father has US citizenship and Cajuste has not yet played any game with the Swedish national team, the USMNT wants to reclute him. But they must hurry because it is a matter of time before the national team that deprived Italy of participating in the 2018 World Cup summons it.

The 21-year-old midfielder joined FC Midtjylland in 2018 from Örgryte IS, in the Swedish second division, and signed a five-year contract with the club. Jens Cajuste made his debut for Midtjylland on August 26, 2018 against Randers FC and already has 28 appearances for the club between local and international competitions.

FC Midtjylland is at the top of the Danish soccer Superliga with 13 points, while in the Champions League they are at the bottom of the group, as they were defeated 4-0 against Atalanta last week and today the fell 2-0 against Liverpool. In both matches Cajuste was in the starting line up. The team where Cajuste plays also shares a group with another European and World Champion, Ajax.
