Javier Hernández has spoken else from the bottom of his heart and has given terrible confessions on his last season in which his team LA Galaxy struggled during all 2020 in the MLS. He criticized his own performance but at the same time he confessed that it was possibly the worst year in his whole life. The 32-year-old wants things to turn around in 2021 playing for the Californian team.

In an interview with Los Angeles Times, he stated he feels responsible for a lot of what happened with the team in MLS last year. He said he had reached the bottom after ‘living things that normally we live in five or 10 years’. He said that it’s not excuse, but reality, and the reality says he didn’t take on the responsibility and, he didn’t know how to handle it. But of course, his personal life gave him many blows in the last months.

In the last months, the striker suffered the loss of his grandfather, Mexican soccer star Tomás Balcázar, apart from many injuries, and even his divorcement from his wife and his children’s mother, Australian model Sarah Kohan. He stated he had a deep look inside his own personal life and that the world health situation made him think about things he can do much better. He did a big introspection on his emotional spiritual side of life.

One of the most shocking moment for his team was the loss of Guillermo Barros Schelotto, the coach that was sacked before the end of the season in MLS. Hernández explained he told him he felt deeply sorry for what happened, and he felt it was his responsibility. Now, he has stated that he wants to do better in 2021 and that he is now trusting different people to improve his health and his performance. He has hired a nutritionist and even his social media manager.
