Arrhythmia is not benign. Sergio el 'Kun' Agüero, who had to leave the field of play in Barcelona's game against Alavés on October 30 due to chest discomfort that later scans linked to a cardiac arrhythmia, could have to leave professional football, according to Catalunya Ràdio reported.

The 33-year-old Argentine player would have already been informed of the seriousness of the problem after the cardiological tests carried out and the option of having to retire to safeguard his health was raised. Agüero would suffer from a malignant arrhythmia in complementary studies carried out by the Barcelona medical staff, according to the aforementioned media. This pathology can make high-level sports practice incompatible.

The last information that Barça gave about the state of Agüero was on November 2, when it issued a statement in which it reported that after undergoing a diagnostic and therapeutic procedure with Dr. Josep Brugada, he would be absent for a minimum of three months, in those who would evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment to determine their recovery process.

According to the aforementioned media, the Argentine environment is aware of the situation and is pessimistic about his future as a footballer. In February, the ‘Kun’ would make the final decision to withdraw. It will have three months of margin.
