After too much expectation Marcelino Moreno made his debut for Atlanta United, in the defeat of his team against New York RB 1-0 on Saturday night. The Argentinian started the match and completed 61 minuted on the field in which he showed his conditions, but also that he has yet to adapt to his new team.

All in all, Moreno had only one successful dribble after four attempt, touched the ball 28 times, suffered three fouls and completed no shots. Head coach Stephen Glass said that his debut was fantastic, because even though the player was a little tired he could demonstrate his quality.

Moreno arrived to Atlanta United for $7 million from his former club Lanús, the same place from where Miguel Almirón arrived to the club some years ago. The club is trying to find a replacement to Gonzalo "Pity" Martínez, who left to Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr while they recover Ezequiel Barco, injured.

Atlanta United are now ninth in the Eastern Conference just with one point more than Inter Miami, the first time out of the playoff zone that is fighting to enter. The objective for the last part of the regular season will be to try to qualify and play the tournament next stage.
