The day after fiering coach Ben Olsen, DC United made some moves in its squad. The club from the American capital is now ready to respond to the request of its forward and assistant coach Federico Higuaín. The former player and star of the Columbus Crew has asked the executives of the Black and Red to let him fulfill his dream of teaming up with his brother Gonzalo at Inter Miami.

Federico Higuaín has requested his transfer to Inter Miami to be able to meet again with his brother Gonzalo, brand new reinforcement of the team owned by David Beckham. A few months ago the former Columbus Crew striker expressed his enthusiasm with the possibility that 'el Pipita' could play in MLS. Federico said that his dream was to play with his brother again. Well, the dream is about to be fulfilled since DC United's front office seems to be willing to let him go.

The Higuaín brothers have already been teammates between 2005 and 2007 at River Plate. Since then they have never had the chance to play together again. Two MLS teams in previous years tried to reunite them. First it was Columbus Crew, which expected Gonzalo to join Federico while he was still playing there. Later on, Federico joined DC United. When that happened, the Red-and-Black made an attempted to sign the Real Madrid's forward, but Gonzalo's high salary made it impossible.

Now, Inter Miami stepped forward. First, the bought Gonzalo Higuaín's MLS rights from DC United. Then, they got Gonzalo Higuaín. Will the team coached by Diego Alonso be able to bring Federico Higuaín and reunite the brothers? It's a dream that fans from the cities of Columbus, Washington and almost anywhere in the MLS have long looked for.
