Club America's striker, Henry Martin has come out to talk about one of the most challenging periods of his life, his brother's imprisonment over rape allegations. Freddie Martin, elder brother to Henry, was detained in May over allegations that he raped a 29-year-old lady in December 2020. Henry Martin as a good brother stayed with Freddie all through the period.

The Club America striker has now revealed that what kept him sane during the period was his love for soccer and playing for his club both in the Liga MX and the CONCACAF Champions League. Henry Martin noted that the period was difficult for him and his family but playing for Club America and scoring goals for them helped him through it. Henry Martin has scored 5 goals in 15 matches so far this season for Club America.

Freddie Martin was charged to court after preliminary evidence suggested that he might have been involved in a rape incident in December 2020. Freddie's brother, Martin, had thrown a party in his house to celebrate Christmas and Freddie had reportedly taken some alcoholic drinks. Same as the lady in question who allegedly woke up to Freddie sexually assaulting her. The case was charged to court in May 2021.

Henry Martin will get the chance to continue playing his football for Club America when he lines up for them in the CONCACAF Champions League final on October 28th against Monterrey at the Estadio BBVA. Club America qualified for the showpiece event after seeing off MLS side, Philadelphia Union 4-0 over two legs. Club America will be bidding to win a record-extending 8th CONCACAF Champions League title.
