He won the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup
He won the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup with Mexico, who defeated arch rivals USA 4-2 in the final. He was named the tournament's MVP and highest goal scorer with seven goals including a hat trick in the opening game against El Salvador.
He broke Jared Borgetti's record
Mexican legend Jared Borgetti was the country's highest goalscorer with 47 goals before Chicharito broke his record in 2017 and set a new one with 52 goals.
