Gonzalo Martínez has decided to move to Saudi Arabia, to play for Al-Nassr FC, in a $18 million transfer. Martinez played 39 games for Atlanta United: scored seven goals and provided eleven assists. But his development was criticised due to his largely inconsistent. He could not became a key player as was expected by the coach, team and fans.

However, Martínez will be remembered also for being the second highest outgoing transfer fee ever. In the first place remains Miguel Almirón, the paraguayan midfielder. He played two seasons at Atlanta United winning MLS cup in 2018, he scored 21 goals in 62 appearances and moved from Atlanta United to Newcastle United in exchange of $27 million.

Otherwise, Alphonso Davies was replaced by Pity Martínez. The left-back Champions League winner was sold to Bayern Munich for $13.5 million. The canadian player played 65 games for the Vancouver Whitecaps and was an MLS All-Star.
