A serious accident was reported by a luxurious sports car that was driving at excess speed on a highway near the town of Tlajomulco, Jalisco. The first versions linked the soccer player Matías Vuoso with the mishap.

Despite this, the Argentine denied the versions. In an interview for ESPN, Vuoso assured that he was not involved in the accident, since he was traveling, so the versions that relate him are totally false.

However, he also clarified that the car does belong to him, although it was stolen, a situation that he has already reported to the corresponding authorities.

Matías Vuoso had an outstanding start in his professional career with Club Atlético Independiente in his native Argentina. Two years after his debut, in 2002, he was hired by Manchester City in England.

However, in 2003, he dissociated himself from the European leagues and got to know Mexican soccer, when he was hired by the Santos Laguna Club. He stayed there for three years and showed his goalscoring qualities by scoring 63 goals in 116 games. His good performances led him to wear the America in 2006.
