The MLS published as every year the top jerseys sales of the season. Carlos Vela (LAFC) finished in the first position and Javier Hernández (LA Galaxy) was second. The podium was completed with Josef Martínez (Atlanta United) and the news is that Gonzalo Higuaín didn’t make it to the top.

The Argentinian striker arrived to Inter Miami this season to be the best paid player of the MLS with $8.8 million per year. But despite his income, he is not even in the five first positions of the players who sell the most amount of jerseys. On the ranking published by the MLS Higuaín finished sixth.

Pipita, as he is known, was not even the best ranked player from Inter Miami as Mexican Rodolfo Pizarro make it better than him. Higuaín arrived as a free agent, after his contract with Juventus expired and at the age of 32, he has played nine games, scored one goal and gave one assist.

Local press from Miami reported that Higuaín got mad after hearing about the rankings of jerseys sold, as he expected to be better positioned on the consideration of fans. After the fortune that the club pays for him and near to his retirement, Higuaín will have to work hard to gain people’s support.
