Columbus Crew: Lucas Zelarayan's surprising praise for Gyasi Zardes

Zelarayan and Zardes are the two key pieces that the Columbus Crew has. Between them they contributed 14 of the 20 goals that the team has in MLS 2020, being the best attacking pair in the entire league. That is why in today's press conference Zelarayan was consulted about his American strike partner and he was praised.

The Argentine said that since his arrival, he knew that Zardes was going to be his attacking partner and that he knew that he had to make a good connection with him from his first day. He also said that Zardes is a very good player and an excellent teammate and that he knew how to adapt to his style, just as Zelarayan knew how to adapt to him.

The Argentine attacker ended the conference saying that Zardes is a player who goes to all the balls as if it were the last and that he is always available in the area for any pass and that this helps the entire Columbus Crew team. He also expressed that he wants to assist and help him to be the top scorer of the 2020 MLS season.
