Chofis López revealed the unexpected desire of the club in which he wants to play

Javier Eduardo López, commonly known as Chofis, is set to leave Chivas. Head coach Víctor Vucetich and sport adviser Ricardo Peláez decided to axe him from the team, after the offensive midfielder committed some undisciplined acts that were not tolerated any longer.

Chofis has a contract remaining with the Rebaño Sagrado until June 2022, reason why he is trying to find a club that wants to pay for him, so he can move one. So far, many teams interested appeared but no one convinced both Chivas and the player to make him go.

While it is still a mystery where López will play on the future, the player made a strange statement saying how much he regrated of his opportunity wasted at Chivas and that he will go to play back to the Liga MX side in the future with no doubt. Everything occurred after a fight with the player and the club due to his bad behavior.

Chivas could finally complete a good campaign, after a bad regular season in which they ended seventh on the tournament Guard1anes. After qualifying to the final round, they defeated Necaxa and afterwards Club América. On the semifinals against Club León they were eliminated.
