LA Galaxy have just completed one of the worst seasons ever in their history. The MLS side ended 10th in the Western Conference, after earning just 22 points on the same number of matches played, and didn’t make it to the MLS Cup Playoffs. Such a bad result, provoked the dismissal of head coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto.

After a couple of months working on who could be his replacement, it seems to be that LA Galaxy have found him. Specialized journalist Grant Wahl published that Greg Vanney will be the new trainer of the club, after reaching an agreement with sport advisers about his contract.

was the main coach from Toronto FC during the past six years and previously he trained based soccer at Real Salt Lake and was the second coach of Chivas U.S. At his 46 years, he will be returning to a place that he knows a lot, as he lived many years at Los Angeles when he was a professional player for the Galaxy.

On 1996, Vanney was drafted by LA Galaxy, and he stayed until 2002, despite leaving one on a loan previously. At the end on his career, he left D.C. United to play his last six months in the club as well. Chicharito Hernández will now have a new trainer, with which he will try to get back his great level.
