Carlos Vela is one of the most emblematic Mexican players of the last decades. The attacker was formed at Chivas and leave to Europe when he was very young. Since 2006 until 2018 he played in that continent, representing top teams as Arsenal, Real Sociedad, Celta de Vigo, West Bromwich, UD Salamanca and CA Osasuna.

On January 2018, he decided to move to the MLS and signed for Los Angeles FC, a franchise that paid $5 million for his signing and transformed into one of the best paid players in the America league. Vela was one of the most famous Mexican players in Europe during the last years, and he even has a good relationship with idols, as Antoine Griezmann or Cesc Fabregas.

But Cristiano Ronaldo surprised everyone in an interview with El Chiringuito in which he talked about Vela. According to the Portuguese, his son, known as Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., asked him if Vela was faster than him. Everyone supposed, that the kid tried to mention Gareth Bale, who was a companion from CR7 at Real Madrid, and not the Mexican attacker.

However, Cristiano did never clarify it and the story remained unfinished. The Spanish press assured that it was a confusion from the boy of the legend and users on social media mocked the attacker for his error. A curious and very strange moment in which the son of Cristiano make his father pass a bad moment due to an error related to Vela.
