Bob Bradley's team, Los Angeles FC, is in a bad soccer moment, has not stopped losing, and is farther and farther away from Play-off qualification. Mexican striker Carlos Vela is six months away from the end of his contract with his current MLS team. However, the player said he is focused on his short-term goals and has no worries about his future.

But Carlos Vela spoke at a press conference and was concerned about the current situation the club is going through: "This club is not used to being in this position, and the only way to get out of it is to work more, to be together, to be a team, because when you win, score goals, everyone is happy, but at this moment is when you see the good team, good players that we have to be ready for the next game and return this club to where it should be", he mentioned.

Vela assured that on the field the players have to give everything for the team, for the club, for them: "To give the best is to be professionals, to be in this club you have to give everything you have every time you are on the field. You have to look forward to give the maximum and change that situation," he finished.

Carlos Vela's injury

Vela had a complicated start to the season with LAFC and in his first game of 2021 he had to come off the bench against Austin FC due to a thigh injury. As a result, he was sidelined for three matches and barely played a few minutes against Seattle Saunders in the fifth week of the tournament.
