While Vela transformed himself in the maximum scorer at El Trafico, scoring 10 goals and letting behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Chichartito Hernández was not even called-up for the match. Head coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto decided to let him out in a polemic decision even thought it is said that he is injured.

After the game, Vela proved that he is actually the very best Mexican in the MLS. Chicharito was once at a great level, but he had experienced some problems that let him out of the dispute. Even after lots of weeks out and being injured, Vela returned and showed why he is the best Mexican in the league.
