Carlos Vela has completely transformed LAFC since he joined the club. The MLS side saw at him a great player who could carry the team and guide it to important things. But after all, Vela is already 31 years old and his time at soccer will be ending one day so thinking on his successor won’t be a bad idea.

Aged 22 and born in Montevideo, Uruguay, the attacker that could occupy Vela’s future on the MLS is Diego Rossi. The forward proved his great conditions and capacity during all the season with some tremendous performance. After all, he scored 14 goals and finished as the Golden Boot winner of the regular season.

It was Vela himself who gave the award to Rossi on the locker room of LAFC. The Mexican idol scored 34 goals during 2019, being the player who achieved to net more balls on a year in the MLS history. Rossi was delighted to win the award and received it in the hands of his companion.

Rossi arrived LAFC on January 2018 when the club paid just $3 million to his former club Peñarol. Actually, he has a reported value of $20 million and many top European clubs are looking at him as he is said to be the new Luis Suárez. After all, this season may also mean the end of his career at the MLS if he moves on.
