Atlanta United had a very bad performance once again. Frank de Boer's team lost against DC United 2-1 on Saturday night and extended their streak with no victories to five games in a row. Now, they are getting their changes to get to the playoffs zone really complicated.

After another defeat, fans claimed that the solution for the team problems might be founded in the second team. Atlanta United 2 counts with a young talented player that everyone want to see in the first team. He is Erik López, Paraguayan attacker aged 18 who arrived from Olimpia and is expected to join the first team on January.

López was born in Asunción and played for Olimpia since he was 13. Just 16 games and four goals since his debut took him to Atlanta United. The club still has pending the receipt of his international transfer certificate, so he couldn't join the squad and is actually playing for the rosters.

López has also played for Paraguay U-23 team in the qualifies for the Olympics in Tokyo, postponed until 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and is awaiting to make his debut with the national team majors. Great prospect, he might bring some solutions for a team that lacks of attack and scored only two goals in the last five games.
