Sunday wasn't a day that Ángel Di María and his entire family will easily forget. It's that while the midfielder was playing with PSG against Nantes, for Ligue 1, a group of criminals entered his home and stole important valuables. Fortunately for the Argentine, none of his family members suffered injuries.

The incident took place in the commune of Neuilly while the player participated with Paris Saint Germain in the match against Nantes and the thieves stole "jewelry and watches" for an amount estimated to be less than 500,000 euros. The French police reported that Di María's family "didn't cross paths" with the criminals, who entered the house by force and went to a safe located on the upper floor. "They did not hear anything," said spokesmen for the gang repression brigade (BRB), according to the AFP news agency.

What was stolen from Di Marí1a?

According to sources cited by "Le Parisien" and "L'Equipe", the Argentine's wife and children did not see the thieves directly, nor did they realize that a safe, with watches and jewelry that amounted to 500,000 euros, was looted on the upper floor. Remember that this is not the first time that a similar event has happened to him. In 2015, when he was wearing the Manchester United jersey, his home was the subject of another robbery that traumatized his family. It was one of the reasons for leaving England.

Marquinhos, Sergio Rico and Mauro Icardi were also victims of robberies

As for Marquinhos, the assault by thieves took place with violence at his parents' house in the Yvelines department, south of the French capital, French media reported. L'Équipe specified that the criminals momentarily kidnapped the occupants. The Brazilian was warned at the end of the match against Nantes. Two other PSG players have been robbed from their homes this year. In January, the apartment of Spanish goalkeeper Sergio Rico was ransacked and a few days later the same happened to Argentine striker Mauro Icardi.
