Sporting Kansas City is having a great season so far. The team coached by Peter Vermes ended first in the Western Conference after earning 39 points on 21 games played and qualified more than enough for the playoffs. In the next stage, they will be facing San Jose Earthquakes, seventh in the Conference.

One of the best players of SKC during the season, not to say the best, was the Mexican Alan Pulido. The attacker aged 29 joined the club from Chivas on January 2020 in a transfer closed for $9 million. Since his arrival, he scored seven goals and gave five assists after just 14 games played.

Pulido leads both top scorer and assists in his team as has been nominee as the best signing of the year at the MLS. He in now the only Mexican who will be competing to gain an award as the best of the year on the league, after both Chicharito Hernández and Carlos Vela don’t figure in any shortlist.

The great moment of Pulido sent him back to Mexico national team, where Gerardo Martino called him after more than two years of absence. With a contract until 2023 and a reported value of $10 million we may be thinking that Pulido founded at SKC a place to stay for a long time.
